Welcome to the official web-site for Boy Scout Troop 201 of Overland Park, Kansas. Troop 201 is chartered by the Hillcrest Christian Church, and is within the Red-Tailed Hawk district of the Heart of America Council.

Troop 201 is a Scout lead organization, with goals established by and for the Scouts! Goals of Scouts and Scouters in Troop 201 include:

1. HAVE FUN!!
2. Learn by Advancing Rank.
3. Communicate Effectively.
4. Emphasize Planning.
5. Live by the Scout Oath.
6. Live by the Scout Law.

This past summer, Troop 201 had scouts and scouters attending Camp Naish, Camp Bartle, Philmont Scout Ranch, and the World Scout Jamboree in England.

Our troop meets most Mondays (see our calendar)during the school year. The general exception is when there is no school! We welcome visitors at any time! You may join us at:

Troop 201 Scout Job Description
  • Show up at meetings with Scout Handbook, paper, pen or pencil in hand.

  • Be at meeting and ready to go by 7:00 p.m. 

  •  Take responsibility to get merit badges and advancements.

  • Set a good example!

  • Enthusiastically wear the Scout uniform correctly.

  • Live by the Scout Oath and Law.

  • Attend as many meetings and campouts as possible.

  • Show Scout spirit.

  • Have FUN!
